Movie Makers Club August Summer Workshops

Movie Makers Club is running creative stop-motion filmmaking workshops for children aged 8 to 12 at Telegraph Hill Centre in South East London this August.

These small-group workshops are designed for children who enjoy LEGO, stories, animation, films, games, building or imaginative play. Children work in teams using LEGO bricks and minifigures to build worlds, invent characters, storyboard ideas, animate scenes frame by frame and premiere their finished films. No animation experience is needed, and all equipment is provided.

Each day has a different film-making theme, giving children a clear creative starting point while still leaving plenty of room for their own ideas. The sessions are practical, collaborative and beginner friendly, with a focus on storytelling, teamwork and creative confidence.

Upcoming August workshop dates include Monday 3 August, Thursday 6 August, Monday 10 August, Thursday 13 August, Monday 17 August, Thursday 20 August, Monday 24 August and Thursday 27 August.

The workshops run from 9:30am to 3pm at Telegraph Hill Centre, Kitto Road, London SE14 5TY, close to New Cross, Nunhead, Telegraph Hill, Peckham and Brockley. Children should bring a packed lunch, water bottle and comfortable clothes.

Tickets are GBP 50 for a standard place and GBP 45 for a sibling ticket. Group size is limited to a maximum of 12 children per workshop, so families should check the booking page for live availability.
